Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of village administrative services in Sungai Junjangan Village, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The research adopts a qualitative approach using a document study design. Data sources consist of primary and secondary documents, including administrative archives, official reports, activity documentation, human resource data, and documents related to the utilization of village-level information technology. Data collection was conducted through three stages: data collection, data management, and data verification. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis procedures comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. To ensure data trustworthiness, this study employed source triangulation, method triangulation, and theory triangulation. The findings indicate that village administrative services in Sungai Junjangan Village have been implemented normatively and are supported by adequate structural arrangements and procedural guidelines. However, the effectiveness of these services is closely linked to the capacity of village officials’ human resources and the level of information technology utilization. Limitations in continuous capacity development and optimal integration of digital systems remain challenges in improving service efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. Therefore, sustained human resource development and integrated technological optimization are essential to enhance the overall effectiveness of village administrative services.
